New record in the works! - May 30, 2008
News on the NEW album!!
Greetings Downbeat Switchlings!
As you may know, we have currently been working on the new album over the last 9 months. With all the drum tracks recorded and the rest being laid down over the next few months. We are very excited about this album, and we know that anyone who has heard our two previous records will be too. We can't release too much info about what to expect, but we will say that this one will by far be the most interesting and challenging album we've ever done, for ourselves and the listener as well. This is our most upbeat and funkiest album while at the same time, our most intimate and emotionally diverse. We have high hopes to release the CD by late September 2008, yet there will be no shortcuts taken with this one, so it's possible it could even be early October or November by the time it is ready for fans to start blastin' around the 'hood! There will at the very least be 16 full length tracks with several musical interludes ranging many different musical styles. But anyways, just wanted to keep everyone up to date as far as what's happening with the record. We have been getting many emails from anxious fans asking about when the new album drops. Our answer is: "It's finished when it's finished"-(to quote the great Michaelangelo)... or at least when we're happy enough with it to present it to fans who have come to expect only our best. We will NOT rush this one, unlike the previous two, because this is by far, the most important thing we've ever done to date. There will be several guest vocalists and musicians appearing on this record, whom we've met over the years, playing and partying with other groups along the way. We thank all of you who have contributed to the creative energy and inspiration for this album. Your influence in this project is clear and true. Special thanks to all of you who plan to purchase the CD and groove out with us at the shows as we hit the road in support of the new record!
